I've checked permissions and they seem fine. The same user is able to upload documents, pdfs, scripts, etc and can delete them without error. It just seems to bring up errors when handling the deletion of image files.

If I go into the share on the network and change the file extension to not be an image, then I can delete the file. If I change a .doc file to a .jpg I can't delete it, but if I change it back to .doc I can.

So I'm fairly sure its not permissions thats the problem.

Does anyone else have the same issue, or is it just me?

same students everytime.....I've done a work around which is to set the .net impersonation username as the domain admin and it doesn't let them see any other kids docs....do for now but if you have any ideas to another solution would be great

I'm not sure about your terminology (just followed the install and edited the config with our stuff) but that sounds like how it should be?

May be worth popping up your web.config file (obviously remove any passwords that are in there)

    Current progress of HAP 6:

    • Tracker API changed from text to .net WebService (more secure and more reliable) [DONE]
    • My User Card added [DONE]
    • My Computer .net WebService API added
    • Replace API in the Silverlight Browser to using the .net WebService.
    • More WPF compliant Silverlight My Computer Browser (currently uses a lot of older methods for rendering, this should make it quicker)
    • More threading on the Silverlight Browser
    • The ability to choose either an XML or MS SQL Provider for the logon tracker [DONE]
    • Move certain code out of the main hap.web dll [DONE]
    • Start an Web Based Installer which will ask the right questions

So as you can see, it's getting there. Need to start on updating the my computer browser soon

HAP 6 introduces the ability to use MSSQL for the logon tracker. The SQL generation script will be included in HAP.

The speed difference between XML and SQL is quite high for the logon tracker. Since all of the other parts of HAP use relatively small XML databases, I'm not in a rush to upgrade, although I will keep an eye on performance.

Sounds good, what is the significance of the "cache-control: no-cache" which seems to break HAP for IE on windows 7 (IIS6)?

HTTP Error 500.21 - Internal Server Error
Handler "PageHandlerFactory-Integrated" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list

It does seem to be more of an IIS problem than HAP+ The page: How to Fix "PageHandlerFactory-Integrated" bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler in IIS7 is probably a good starter for ten

Ok this is more of a HAP issue...

Usually this happens if you have incorrect username/ password, or your LDAP settings are incorrect.

I know I am being really special here but I am obviously doing something wrong in the config. If my DC server was named 123server and my admin OU was named boss had would this sit using the config tool. This is what I have below (I know you will be laughing inside)

    LDAP://123server/{0}OU=boss,OU={1},OU=Establishments,DC=crickhowell ,DC=internal

    Thanks

Not laughing lol, you'll be surprised just how many people get this wrong...

your LDAP settings should be similar to the following:

    LDAP://DCSERVER.FQDN/{0}(only needed if RM),OU=boss,DC=domain,DC=com

so for example, if your internal domain name was school.internal then your LDAP settings would read:

    LDAP://123server.school.internal/OU=boss,DC=school,DC=Internal

Are you using RM or are you vanilla??
