HAP v10 - File upload limit?

    Hello,

I am having a problem with our new installation of HAP v10. When testing uploading of documents I have noticed that documents above the size of 30 MB fail to upload. Anything less than 30 MB is fine. See attached error: HAP v10 - File upload limit?-file-upload-error.jpg

Has anyone seen this before? I have read up and checked the webconfig file and the file upload limit is set to 2 GB as far as I can see.

    Thanks

Hmm that's an odd one, I uploaded a 150mb file last week and it uploaded fine, apart from the upload progress sticking

Is there a file size upload limit? Is there anything I can check in order to troubleshoot the problem?

    Thanks

    Hi Nick,

Any ideas what might be causing this? This could be a big limitation for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

The upload file size is in the web.config file, and it's set to around the 2gb mark.

Does your hap go through a reverse proxy, it could be that which is cancelling the upload

Checked the web.config file and it does appear to be set to 2GB roughly. I don't think it goes through a reverse proxy but would need to check with our ISP. As a test I disabled the proxy settings in the browser and tried a 30 MB upload which failed. I checked the event logs on the server and found the following error:

An error occurred in Home Access Plus+

    Page: HAP.Web.API.MyPic

Creating Directory Search and Searching for then current user
    Using filter: (&(objectClass=user) (sAMAccountName=user))
Found 1 results, processing 1st result
    Found 0 thumnbnailPhotos

However, this only seems to occur when a user has logged on and not when the file fails to upload. Possibly related or a red herring?

    Thanks

I believe that error appears when the user has no AD picture and that is HAP telling you so.

Could the server specification be causing the issue at all? I have it set up as a VM with 4 GB memory and 1 virtual CPU. What are the recommended spec's?

    Thanks

I run HAP and our school website on a VM with 4GB RAM and 2 vcores. Works no problem at all. I'd say most likely the ISP is reverse proxying.

Even though I disabled the proxy settings and uploads below 30MB work?

    Thanks

Do you experience the same both on and off site?

Which uploader are you using? Drag and Drop, single upload, or the multi upload box?

If it's the 1st two, please try doing some HAP+ JSON Debugging, to see if it's giving a reason it's failing.

Ok, it's saying it was aborted, sounds like the page was refreshed or navigated away from while it was uploading
