Attached is a dll which improves the login page speeds when using kerberos, I've found it now takes 2 seconds to login and load the homepage, where as it was taking up to 10 seconds.
You need to make sure you are running hap v10.1
Ok cheers, will do ill test tomorrow.
been doing some tests, and its intermittent on how fast the login takes, sometimes it very a long time and it spins other times it just jumps in.
done some more testing and it is still hanging, below on ie you get a message waiting for response from domainname.com..
it does logged them in after a long while
Question, when logging into HAP does it read all of the users AD groups before allowing the user to login? Still have staff experience slow login after they put in there ad username and password then hit login
Did some more testing today. The user with the smaller number of AD group membership logs in quicker then those with large number of AD group membership. Our staff accounts do have quite a lot of email groups attach because of the way we use salamander for class and tutor groups etc...
I don't know if this will help you but our staff are members of two security groups and log ins to HAP take 1-2 seconds.
That's what I've found. Staff with lots of ad groups takes ages. Staff with a few, seconds to login
Try changing the max recursions from 10 down to 1, and see. That setting is the hapConfig.xml file in the AD element
ok Nick thanks ill give that a try, can i ask what that setting does
