    HAP Error: Unauthorised Access

    Hello,

I have HAP setup on a 2008R2, but when i log in as admin, staff or student account I get the following screen.

    HAP Error: Unauthorised Access-unauthorisedaccess.jpg

If i click the down arrow and navigate that way I can get to myfiles etc, but I would rather not have that screen as I would like to push this out to staff for remote access.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Look in your web.config file in the root of the HAP folder specifically the permissions section.

Hmm, ok, that error is to be expected, it throwing you straight to unauthorized.aspx isn't. Can you tell me the full URL that was accessed when you got unauthorized?

    Hi Nick,

The URL that I login to is: https://localhost/hap/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fhap%2f

As soon as I login it takes me to unauthorised.aspx.

    Thanks again for your help

Sorry, I can't quite figure out why it's not showing the homepage, it's a baffling error if the other pages are working

    Hi Nick,
Just to let you know that I have fixed this issue, it seemed to be caused by IIS. So I uninstalled IIS and all its dependencies via roles and features in Server Manager, uninstalled .net framework then reinstalled it back on again, reinstalled HAP and it is all working now.
Thanks for this amazing software mate.

    Take it easy
    Sean
