    SSL Certificate.. Please help!

Ive signed up with StartSSL and theyve verified me.

I need to get an SSL cert for my HAP istall but im stuck as what to do now. I need to validate a domain name... I don't know if this is the schools web domain name, which is different to our internal domain name as it is hosted externally.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks, Matt.

    Hi Matt,

This would be your web domain name you need to verify with them as this is what you will be using to host HAP+ and issue the SSL certificate for.

Our website is hosted externally too.

To get our SSL Certificate I contacted SWGfL and got them to make a new DNS subdomain for our SWGfL domain (school.LA.sch.uk) like "hap.school.devon.sch.uk" and then got the SSL Certificate for that using TXT records to verify the domain.
