    Windows 8 My Files App - error

    Trying to set this up and had this error at first:

    Windows 8 My Files App - error-myfileserror.png

    All I have changed is the url that points to my server and now getting this:

    Communication Error

    System.NullReferenceException: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.
    at HAP.Win.MyFiles.MainPage.<Button_Click>D_2.MoveNex t()

    any suggestions appreciated.

    Regards

    Chilli

    Do you know if your school's Home Access Plus version is up to date?

    Ok, I'll have to have a look into that, it's not liking something

    On further investigation I have found that if I remove my redirect aspx from wwwroot:

    (<%
    response.redirect("https://schoolname.co.uk/hap/default.aspx")
    %>

    Then the error reverts to the original message in my first post.

    Did you find the fix to this? Got one user wanting to use the app but I'm getting the same error as in the screenshot in the OP

    I am getting the same error - I am running a trial of the app to see if it works. Is it a formatting error? https:\\domain.name\hap\
    Username is DOMAIN\username or just username ?

    Issue found, add this to your web.config:

    HTML Code:
     <location path="api/ad">
        <system.web>
          <authorization>
            <allow users="*" />
          </authorization>
        </system.web>
      </location>
    Will be fixed in the next release of HAP.Web and HAP.Win (v1.2 for 8.1 is going through certification atm)
