    New install error

    Hi all,

    Just extracted the zip to HAP in wwwroot, did the permissions, changed to application and done the certificate. When i browse to the folder i get

    "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred."

    Its on a Server 2012 install.

    Any help appreciated.

    Open ~/web.config with notepad, look for the Windows Server 2012 reference and follow the instructions

    AH! Found it, i was looking for server rather than IIS.

    Do I have to remove the entire section?

    <staticContent>
    <!--For IIS8 Remove this Section -->
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".mp4" mimeType="video/mp4" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".m4v" mimeType="video/m4v" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".ogg" mimeType="video/ogg" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".ogv" mimeType="video/ogg" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".webm" mimeType="video/webm" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".oga" mimeType="audio/ogg" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".spx" mimeType="audio/ogg" />
    <!--You may need to remove this line under some setups-->
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".svg" mimeType="images/svg+xml" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".svgz" mimeType="images/svg+xml" />
    <remove fileExtension=".eot" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".eot" mimeType="application/vnd.ms-fontobject" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".otf" mimeType="font/otf" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".woff" mimeType="font/x-woff" />

    YAY! Sorted. After a bit more googling, it turns out despite the error message, what you actually need to do is give IIS_IUSRS write permissions to c:\windows\temp

    Strange error, that doesnt help at all. Thanks for your help so far.

    Got a new one now, set up some file paths, one is just %userdir% and I get an access denied error. Logged on as "auser" lets call him I got an:

    Access to the path '\\hhs-sr-fs\staffhome\Work\auser' is denied.

    auser has the relevant permissions to access the file within windows, what should I look at next?

    What sort of access denied error? There are a few that HAP+ can generate. Check your hapConfig.xml file has been configured correctly. Can you paste your <myfiles /> section please?

    Ok, it looks like something isn't working right with impersonation. Can you check that local logon rights exist on the server for everyone. You may also want to enable Moving of files, and if you are not using Quota servers, set the usagemode to None
