    HAP+9 - Style.css doesn't seem to be loading ? Setup Page wrong

    Hi,
    My first install was on a Server 2012 VM.. This all went quite well after chasing down different IIS8 errors, but i finally gave up when the sytles didnt seem to be loading.... So i thought this may be an IIS8 problem. I then created another VM, this time Server 2008 R2..iis 7.5

    Its done exactly the same as before

    If i try to load: https://home.xxxxxxx.local/hap/style/basestyle.css - it fails with a popup saying:

    INTERNET EXPLORER
    Unable to download basestyle.css from home.xxxxx.local
    OK

    Then if i try again with f5 it then offers it the file to download.

    On the server 2012 install if i try this on the localhost it sometimes loads but i have a red X in "Services Activated"
    On the server 2008 install i just cant get it to look correct, setup page loads the whole page instead of if being split up into sections.

    I have commented out the ".svg" line and this got the images and some of the sytle loaded.

    Any suggestions please? Must be something silly im doing! See below:

    Error on both installs:
    HAP+9 - Style.css doesn't seem to be loading ? Setup Page wrong-hap.png

    basestyle.css error:
    HAP+9 - Style.css doesn't seem to be loading ? Setup Page wrong-hap2.png

    Open the web.config file and look for the Windows Server 2012 Comment which asks you do remove some more lines to make it work on 2012

    Thanks for the quick reply, especially on a sunday. If you are talking about the ii8 coments, i have already done this:
    Code:
    <staticContent>
          <!--For IIS8 Remove this Section -->

          <!--You may need to remove this line under some setups-->

          <remove fileExtension=".eot" />
          <mimeMap fileExtension=".eot" mimeType="application/vnd.ms-fontobject" />

        </staticContent>

    You need to remove the <staticContent> section

    It's really odd, CSS files shouldn't cause a download, something is a bit wrong with your install. I haven't fully tested HAP with IIS8, so i can't for certain say why it isn't working

    If you see above I also get the exact same on a fresh iis7 server 2008r2 install.
    Third time lucky!!! Will ask my tech to install it on a fresh Vm of server 2008r2

    Is there anything else I can try? They have no antivirus and are fully patched.

    Thanks for the help. I know I would get a new unknown error!!!

    You can try uninstalling IIS and reinstalling it. That's all I can think of.

    Also check that you don't need to reset any permissions on that folder or anything

    As long as IIS has ASP.net that's all HAP+ needs

    Sorted

    Dot net 4.5 added all the latest patches from windows update and it now works on the server 2012 install!

    Thanks for the help earlier Nick.

    I am having the same error showing as the first screenshot. Server is server 2008R2 .net is 4.0 full, fully up to date. other asp sites load no problem, HAP loads not problem, but the setup doesn't just throws an error on page warning line 1828 char 34. Interestingly a lot of the settings I can change but the AD selection etc, just doesn't load.

    Any help would be appreciated as I have to take room booking from the ICT teacher in september, and want to use something a littler better than their excel spreadsheet solution.

    The ad selector can sometimes not load with certain AD setups, I've yet to fond out what that is though. You should be able to make most of it up yourself though.

    Which browser are you using? Where are you accessing it from? Are you using https?

    I tried with IE8, Chrome, and this morning have tried with IE9 which works... Always the simple things that we forget to check.

    Thanks for the prompt.
