what is the URL that is causing the redirect? Do you have a redirect script at the root of your IIS server? (above the HAP level)

I did notice that one of the login scripts is redirecting to the root of the IIS server rather than the root of the /HAP folder - if you have a redirect script in the root sending it back, you might get a loop..

I had everything redirecting to https://hap.myschool.co.uk/HAP/login.aspx

    It worked on v8.7

yeah, i had a redirect in too but as im testing on a /BETA site, it was redirecting back to /HAP.. (hence no redirect loop for me).
I'm wondering what the specific URL (in the address bar) is causing the loop for those experiencing it? For me, it was the ~/beta/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/&From=Negotiate
The "ReturnUrl=/" would appear to be incorrect.

    You've gotten a corrupt hapConfig.xml file

Just re-release the v9 release, you just need the hap.web.dll file in the bin folder, see if that works. (Give it 10 minutes while it uploads)

You need to remove the svg line from the web.config file

There's a setting in your hapConfig.xml that the upgrade script doesn't like, or is missing.

I thought I'd start a new install and then drag bits across from my old hapconfig.xml BUT when i start a new install and go through the setup.aspx I don't see a save button to save my settings once I have inputted them, am i missing something?
