Only two things i would add to that is to backup your web.config files from the helpdesk and booking system admin. As these have permission settings in which get wiped, and they don't appear to have had any changes made between 8.7 and 9.0. Plus there's still the small section about changing permissions on the setup.aspx file in the main web.config file.

I just tried the usual upgrade which is to remove everything from the HAP folder except the App_Data folder.
However I had the following error upon browsing to HAP...

Your hapConfig.xml is corrupt, very odd error to happen.

Hmm, recovered it to previous version and it ran fine. Dropped the new files across into the hap folder and I get the same error again?

After installing the update I get this when browsing to HAP :

This web page has a redirect loop

The web page at "Hap link here" has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

I can't load hap at all with v9, I have tried both keeping app data and doing a fresh install but i can't seem to load HAP.

The my restore to 8.7 still works though.

It's probably not this, but i found that whenever i download the hap.zip file from codeplex i have to right click the zip file > properties > click unblock. Prior to unpacking it, else i get an issue with one of the scripts or dlls not working.

Think that only applies to server 2008 and later though, and i could be wrong but give it a go anyway...you never know

  11. Thanks to mrbios from:

How odd, sorry it's not working @reggiep, I don't quite know what would be causing that issue. Is it happening on every browser? Make sure you don't access HAP+ from the server that's running it, it can cause issues. It could be a cookie/token missmatch, or a miss configuration of the kerberos stuff (if you are using that)

    Hi!

When any user apart from an admin tries to download a file I get an error "Bad request"

I presume I have messed up some file permissions?

    Any idea's?

    Cheers,
    Adam

Ok, That was strange. Its because I was testing with uploading and downloading a blank text file. It did not seem to like it. Put some text in it and it worked fine.

    Cheers.
