Ooooh, looks like ive got a toy to play with this week
Here's the change log, it's a big one (biggest change log (number of features not size of the features))
- Fixed: Issue where updating or filing a ticket would reset to the old layout

- Removed: Debug Lines from the Quota Services
- Removed: more debug lines from the quota service

- Note: The existing text-overflow ellipsis does not appear to take effect.
- Booking Tile: Exclude from the bookings tile historical bookings that happened in the past. These are display if you have the clean booking xml functionality set to false
- Fix: Splitting of username containing a \ - I believe we need to use indexof+1 to return just the username part as opposed to \<user>
- Fix: Pass correct user to AD lookup when using windows authentication. This is mainly tested and works when behind an ISA server + Kerberos environment. - Without this, HomeDirectory is null generating JSON exception in converter.cs-FormatMapping
- Removed: debug code from the Download handler
- Fixed: Issue with multilesssons in the booking system
- Added: Code to regenerate the banned ip cache object if it disappears for some reason on the logon page

- Added: Setup page parameters for new exchange stuff
- Fixed: Consecutive Error messages not disappearing
- Added: Some features to allow limited use of HAP for internal users via kerberos authentication while keeping forms authentication for external users. Users can get the full features by logging in again using the forms system. Helps with using the HAP+ homepage as an intranet site.
- Fixed: removed the wrong help load function
- Feature: Add functionality to support customisable size tiles Note: followup work to remove 'large' as that is effectively 2x1

It should be quicker, and reduce LDAP calls, as it's doing a bit more caching now, but that means RAM is eaten.

Shhhhh I won't tell lol. It is all much appreciated. Look forward to testing.
Thanks for the latest release, it's installed really quite smoothly.. however, i have walked myself into a wall regarding custom icons. How can i get them to regenerate if i've cleared the iconcache folder? (i decided to move my custom icons into the appdata folder to make future upgrades easier..)
At the moment, the website loads, but it doesn't load any icons for those pages - it does however load the expected background colour and there IS an entry in the recreated colors.xml file..
Tried restarting the app pool and the server
Delete the icon colour.xml file will force a refresh.
I think maybe i'm being a simpleton. Perhaps putting my custom icons inside "App_Data" isn't such a great idea. I don't seem to be able to view those images even with a direct URL (though i might be also having a kerberos/NTLM meltdown as Firefox and Chrome are now throwing up login prompts where IE drops me into the expected kerberos page).. I'm gonna move my images back and focus on the Kerberos stuff for now
The images need to be outside the App_Data folder, the system uses the App_Data folder to created the resized icons and dishes them out via the api calls. Check the Event Log to see why it isn't, if it isn't
Yep, moved them back and images are now working
I am however having mixed results with Kerberos. Whilst it seems to work well with IE, it pops up a login window on both Firefox and Chrome (not your nice forms login either). Whilst FF allows me to login using username\password, chrome does not. (and firefox then deposits me in the kerberos front end)
Chrome gives me an "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." error.
Is is possible to always direct chrome to the Forms login? (presuming we confirm that it's chrome, rather than me!)
The IE login appears to be seemless - works really well!
In FF and Chrome there's a setting in the browser to enable NTLM Auth on a certain domain, can't remember the specifics. You shouldn't need domain\username though, it should just be username
Is there a guide on how to update from v8 to v9 or should I just do a fresh install of HAP?
