the check in system sounds great. we have pools of laptops and ipads so would be great if staff could book them. Ive tried to make use of the current booking system but I dont get it tbh so the documentation on how to use that will be useful too.

I know youve already said its not possible but better Ipad integration would be amazing. I really only want to use HAP for remote access and not have to go down the route of using a poorer second system.

+1 for the chech in/out system.
I have yet to find a suitable system for staff randomly come to the room and ask at the last minute to take a camera or a power supply.
If we could have Hap running in the background at all times. If we could quickly add the item to the system and then book it out it would save us loads of grief later on when we can't find our spare power supply etc!

    Ok, 2 options here @mrbios

    1. is I add SQL for the help desk
    2. is to add an Archive Tickets bit

Either one is good in my opinion, my original thought was to have it automatically archive them every term. So set the term times like you do with the booking sheet, then at the end of every term the closed tickets get archived off. That would also allow us to see statistics for each term if you were able to implement such a thing?

I'd love it to go SQL route if I'm honest.. But the downside is making the install a whole lot more complex for people that don't have SQL working already..

2 Requests from me: Static / All Day Bookings Request -

    - 1 can we have an option to set a static booking for all periods during a day.
    - 2 when entering static bookings, can we redirect the page back to the static lesson entry form please, rather then back to the booking form control panel homepage?

    Thanks

1 - If you edit the staticbookings.xml file you can add it in there. The lesson would be lesson 1, lesson 2, lesson 3, i.e. comma separated list. That'll be in the v9 release as well
    2 - Done

    Nick

Would the exchange feature in hap talk to office365? Im getting requests to have like a tile system for students to show new emails.

I guess SSO would need to be confugured on office365?

    Thanks

Would love to see an iOS app for this one day.

Also, we have a strange timetable every Wednesday where we shoehorn an extra lesson in. Can the booking system cope with a 5 period day and then one 6 period day?

Also, off topic but Nick, could you point me in the right direction for instructions on how to update to a new version?

    Thanks

iOS isn't planned, as I'd have to get a developer account with itunes which isn't cheap.

The booking system currently doesn't support that model, you would have to configure it to have 6 periods for all days, and set up a static booking for the 6th lesson every other day which was blocked out.

Latest release is on codeplex, download the "update" package: Home Access Plus+ - Download: v8.7

I am looking to use HAP+ as a file-access portal for our "mobile users" when they are on the road. We have 6 different offices and each office has a file server local to them. We need a way of establishing different "MyFiles" mappings dependant upon the office a user works out of. We do have different OU's containing users from the office represented by the OU. Is there currently a way or would you consider building in the ability to establish the "MyFiles" mappings based on the OU? I know we can map the users "Home Directory" using the "homedir" environment variable but we have 4 other mappings that we need to establish.
Also, do you have any documentation or references to setting up Remote Desktop Apps (RDWEB) in HAP+?
    Thanks for your consideration.
    Chuck R.
P.S. I love what you have done so far!! HAP looks very clean and professional. I especially love the "live tiles".
