go to /hap/api/setup and report back on any errors.
Connecting internally I get no errors on logging in, but if I turn wireless off on my phone and connect with that, after logging in I get 3 "Not Found" messages pop up on the home page, then 3 on the my files page. As I'm on my phone I can't tell what the errors are about, though from reading other threads I've checked it is definitely using https, and at the moment my <staticcontent> looks like this (its IIS7.5)
Any ideas much appreciated. I'll also try to test on a PC later at home, but at the moment my phone connecting outside our network is all I have.Code:<staticContent> <!--For IIS8 Remove this Section --> <mimeMap fileExtension=".m4v" mimeType="video/m4v" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".ogg" mimeType="video/ogg" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".ogv" mimeType="video/ogg" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".webm" mimeType="video/webm" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".oga" mimeType="audio/ogg" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".spx" mimeType="audio/ogg" /> <!--You may need to remove this line under some setups--> <mimeMap fileExtension=".svgz" mimeType="http://www.edugeek.net/images/svg+xml" /> <remove fileExtension=".eot" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".eot" mimeType="application/vnd.ms-fontobject" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".otf" mimeType="font/otf" /> <mimeMap fileExtension=".woff" mimeType="font/x-woff" /> </staticContent>
Just as an addition, I've tried removing all lines under the "You may need to remove this line" bit, still happens.
go to /hap/api/setup and report back on any errors.
I go to /haptest/api/setup (had to put it in haptest as hap is already taken by current install) and get:
Endpoint not found.
Ok, that's not much help. It doesn't seem to like your IIS install for some reason, it can't activate the services, and since it can't activate the services it wont work
ugh, well thats a bit of a pain :P
its on the same server we have our current (live) hap install which is quite a few versions old, so i created a new folder (haptest) and a new app_pool to use as a test.
is there anything i can look to in terms of fixing?
I do get this if I go to the normal HAP config page:
IIS Version: 7.5
IIS7 Integrated Pipeline: TICK
Services Activated: TICK
App_Data Write Accss:TICK
But then i also had the issue with it not showing the AD browser for me....which might be something to do with IE defaulting to compatibility view on any intranet sites?
This is what I get on the setup/help page:
will give the json stuff a try in a bit and report backCode:This page describes the service operations at this endpoint. Can you try accessing that url using an external address, see what it reports back as
As I can still only test with my phone externally, I can't connect to that via it. I get a server error resource not found.
Should this be OK to run alongside an existing hap install? I've installed to new dir in wwwroot and created new application pool
Yes, that should be all you need to do, that's all I do.
You can always backup the existing install, overwrite it and test, restore the files if it doesn't work as a last case option
problem is our existing install is live, and in use throughout the day as well as in the evening. i wanted to install 8.4 separate to test it out and configure it before it went live.
I'll wipe the new install and app pool, start fresh. i may have rushed things as we had a previous install so could have missed a setting somewhere!
Ok, if it's working internally, it will work externally, so set it up internally, then run a day trail when it's being used the least to see if it works ok
tried copying it over our existing install, access externally and i got a few internal server errors then a system module service activation error. makes a change from the not found errors though.
Ok, in that case, browse to /hap/api/setup and report the error that it's showing
