    V8.3 Issue with Top User Menu

    Here is a screenshot of what the new top user menu looks like for me Nick.

    V8.3 Issue with Top User Menu-top-user-menu.jpg

    If I click the the username at the home screen then I do not see this but the top scrolls down a couple of inches and then returns back to the top.
    Have a good day at the seminar.

    Further troubleshooting info for what the guys have reported above:

    in IE on the homepage, i get:
    An operations error ocurred
    An operations error ocurred

    IE devmode says:
    SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by (null)
    javascript:false;

    Firebug reports 2 errors loading the "me" livetile:

    1> GET - https://hap.school.org.uk/beta/api/l...:47:33.894Z%22 400 An WCF Error has Occured 400 An WCF Error has Occured
    RESPONSE - ("Message":"An operations error occurred.\u000d\u000a","Detail":null,"FaultType":" DirectoryServicesCOMException")
    2> GET https://hap.school.org.uk/beta/api/livetiles/me 400 An WCF Error has Occured
    RESPONSE - ("Message":"An operations error occurred.\u000d\u000a","Detail":null,"FaultType":" DirectoryServicesCOMException")

    Liking the pop-out menu though, it looks much nicer than the sidebar

    That's very odd, which browser are you using, this has been tested in Latest Firefox, Latest Chrome, IE9 & IE10

    It looks like there's a CSS issue, have you tried clearing your browser cache.

    Looks like the background call to load the picture is failing because of an AD COM issue. Try going to https://hap.school.org.uk/beta/api/livetiles/me and seeing what it's saying

    Using IE10 in windows 8. Tried refreshing browser but no improvement. Perhaps I will try a restart of IIS

    Ok, something is a bit strange there. Is there any way of getting access so I can see what's missing?

    I've also reposted the HAP+ upgrade & full zip's after a bug in the setup.aspx page was found, it may contain a more up-to-date basestyle.css file

    Found the problem, so simple. Go to line 39 of the masterpage.master file. Remove the . before hapmenu

    It goes back to the home screen. I've got to look into getting it navigate to the me tab

    Thanks Nick just discovered what it does now. Having difficulty getting our banner to appear above the top bar at the moment. I will leave that account open for you to test things in future if you like?

    Thanks, for the top banner, this is the code to use:

    masterpage.master
    Code:
                <script type="text/javascript">
                    $(document).ready(function () {
                        $("#hapContent").css("min-height", document.documentElement.clientHeight - ($("#brandingbar").height() + $("#hapHeader").height()) + "px");
                    });
                    $(window).resize(function () {
                        $("#hapContent").css("min-height", document.documentElement.clientHeight - ($("#brandingbar").height() + $("#hapHeader").height()) + "px");
                    });
                </script>
    basestyle.css, or another css that comes in before or after the basestyle
    Code:
    #hapHeader, #hapUserTitle { top: 40px!important; }
    .hapmenu { top: 80px!important; }
    Adjust the pixels to the height of your bar.

    You may also want to add
    Code:
    #hapContent { padding-top: 40px; }
