Do a search for homework.aspx on the forum, there's fixes in one of the threads.

Edit: Here. Drag files onto folder

Don't know if this has ever been on the cards but would the ability to sort files based on name, size or date in "details" view ever be considered for future versions of HAP? Perhaps it's either not easily achieved or it might add to the overhead. It would be handy though...

    Thanks

It would add to the overhead, but I'll see what I can do, would client side sorting be ok?

"would client side sorting be ok?" That would be fine. It's not the highest-priority requirement. Thanks

Need someone to test this and report back, it's the My Files + Sorting in Details View.

I've also added the Modified Date to the Details View.

A new API has been created in the My Files dll to handle this, which is SortedList.

Sorting doesn't work when opening in ZIP files in the explorer

    I've given it a shot.

Yes, it does sort in "Details" view although the "date sort" seems to be a text sort starting at character 1. Thus files for 1 January (of any year) are followed by files for 1 February etc (ie. 1/1/2009 then 1/1/2010 then 1/2/2009 then 1/2/2010). Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks

Yep, Looks good to me. Thanks for doing this.

Will this feature (and the fix for zipping files) be in a future release? If so, I will hold off moving to installing them on my "production" system

ZIPPING folders is coded but it doesn't seem to work, the rest of the zipping bugs have been fixed and are in the above ZIP file. v8.2 will be out shortly (don't know when yet, may be over half term)

    Hi,

I would like to see support for webdav is possible. This will solve the problem of using silverlight plugin and make it a bit easier for users to open files and save them. The idea of checking out editing and then uploading file back again might be too much for some.

    Thanks,

    Ash.

The silverlight plugin no longer exists as of v8.0. It's all HTML based. You can use WEBDAV, but HAP+ doesn't interface with it and requires the webdav module be disabled for the hap application in IIS7+.

The HTML interface warns users that they need to save the file locally and then upload it back

    Hi,

Thanks for comming back on this. Would it be possible to add the support for webdav?

    Thanks,

    Ash.

Not really since Webdav is an IIS technology, not an ASP.net/HTML one. You just install it from add/remove programs, and just create a tile on the HAP+ home screen to point to that webdav folder

    Hi Nick,

Yes i was thinking along the same lines, except i was wondering if we could some how point the user's my document to the webdav. i.e. have the link to webdave for their my docs. Can i ask how you are getting the user's my document location reference in the code after they login to the main site.

    Thanks,

    Ash.
