Clean install of 8.0 - Services not activated - error "A binding instance has already

    Hi,

I've done a clean install of HAP v.8 on IIS7.5 (Server 2008 R2), but it shows that the services are not activated. If I visit 'HAP/api/setup' I get the error "A binding instance has already been associated to listen URI". I am trying to run HAP from a virtual directory since we do not want to place in the the main wwwroot, but do not know if this matters. Otherwise, I have followed the updated install documentation to the letter.

Quick update: For testing, I've moved to using a folder in IISRoot instead of the virtual directory, but still get the same error.

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Tony,
I had that problem when I first setup HAP. If you have IIS binding to port 80 and also 443 (ssl) then you get that error.

HAP doesn't work very well in the root.

It'll be something to do with your IIS bindings. My iis install has quite a few IIS bindings and it's fine.

Type Hostname Port IP Binding Information
    http 80 *
    https 443 *
    net.tcp 808:*
    net.pipe *
    net.msmq localhost
    msmq,formatname localhost
