HP CLJ 3505N - error message

Hi all,

I am facing an odd problem.

We have several HP CLJ 3505n on site, printing is managed by the domain controller. All printers are functioning fine apart from one.

The display on the printer says 'ready' however when looking at Printers (and Devices) on my Vista workstation and the 2008 R2 server it says out of paper.

However, the tray 2 is about 3/4 full of plain paper.

I have tried turning off and turning on again to no avail.

The driver on the server is a HP generic PCL 6 driver and these work fine with the other printers.

Does any one have any further idea?

I forgot to add that if I choose print supply status from the display menu it prints fine. Just doesn't print anything from a pc/laptop across the network.

I first suspected the print spooler on the server but other printers on the network are functioning fine.
