Dell Poweredge Server
The school need to purchase a new Curriculum server for installation over the summer, Can anyone recommend a decent dell one that we can go for.
W2k8 Standard O/S (not SBS)
It is for a 2 form entry Primary so needs to be powerful enough.
They also require Dell Laptops or Netbooks if anyone has any dealings with them
Where will the server be placed - in a rack of some kind, or do you require a tower-style machine to sit on a floor somewhere? Do you have a UPS to keep it powered in case of a power cut? Are you going to mind if it's a bit noisy - the fan noise on larger machines can be quite loud. How many users / machines are going to be using it at once?

Even the smallest servers will run virtual machines just fine, so you could get Windows Server Enterprise Edition and split your server functions up into a number of separate virtual machines.
we bought servers from Qubix Technology the emerging and dynamic IT Support and Technology Company
Adam gave us a price and after sales service to beat everyone else hands down
