External IEEE Hard Dive Caddy for a SATA Drive

I've got a couple of 320 gig sata drives that I want to put in to external ieee caddies so I can daisy chain them to my mac mini at home. However can I find any at all? All I seem to be able to find are those for IDE drives :(

I recently bought an IcyDock MB559US-1S eSATA enclosure. Here's a review:

I would really prefer firewire as my mac mini is an early one with only 2 usb2 ports on it.

Thats the sort of thing I'm looking for and ideally with 2 firewire ports so I can daisychain them together.

Richard what about this - http://www.nanopoint.co.uk/en/pages/...tID=2560&pid=0 I know you wanted pass through firewire but its not as easy to find as you may think he said. Cost would be about £51+vat

That way it gives you more ports and you can use either firewire or usb without worrying about losing any ports :)

Prolly better if you can find a mains powered one and Im sure there are more :)

I think I'm going to have to get a hub of some sorts and then add a couple of caddies as well. About a year ago I could get the fire wire caddies quite easily but now they've become quite difficult to find without the drives and a lot of them that I do find only take ide.
