I am pricing up a screen and projector for our hall (decided on the projector.. Optoma EP782) but I would like the screen to come down and hang in the air at the fron of the stage.
I've seen wobbles on screen before with a little draft coming round the back so wondered if anyone has bought one thats pretty solid or have they clipped the bottom to the floor to stablise it.
We have pretty much this exact setup and have no troubles at all. The screen is pretty heavy, and clipping it anywhere wouldn't help, as you'd still get wobbles - unless you pulled it taught - in which case, you'd be putting strain on it and would likely damage it anyway.
What size are you using? We need a 2.4m electric one.
We have already got one in one of our halls but its a very cheap model and the other month the screen actually came out of the casing. Me and the caretakers had to tape the top of the screen back onto the roller and roll it back up.... it was originally held on with some glue.
IIRC ours is 2.4m wide. It is by Euroscreen and seems pretty sturdy.
