Now that Apple is selling unlocked iPhones, is it perfectly OK to put my Virgin sim card into one and then rock and roll without it being locked out?
Just asking because I know a few UK operators are now including iPhone packages, and I just needed to know that they will accept any sim, and not just preferred operators sims.
If you buy an already unlocked one yes it should be. If not, they can easily be unlocked.
If you're going to be making use of 2g or 3g connection make sure your virgin tarrif has a data package with it.
How much is it SIM free?
About £499 if you shop around. I'm looking to get one after BETT, so there should be a bit fo a price drop after Christmas, or if I can see one in the sales then so much the better.

If I were you I would buy the 3GS 16GB on O2 PAYG for £440 and jailbreak/unlock it yourself.
What flavour are you looking at? 2g, 3g or 3gs?
If you want a 2g (jailbroken, unlocked and 3.1 firmware) have one I'm toying with selling!
