Got a few machines which came bundled with Vista, which I am taking off. Problem is it seems the drivers I have for 'SoundMAX integrated digital HD audio' are for Vista. I cannot find anything for XP? At the moment I have managed to build them as XP but when I login I get an error, which I've narrowed down to being trying to run the Vista driver on XP.
Anyone help me out? I've Google'd but found nothing which has helped.

I'll give that on a try now. I've already tested a few others this morning but to no avail.

What pc/motherboard is it? Soundmax drivers can be a nightmare as OEM can customise the board which means you need special drivers.
The Dell Model you have has a Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated HD Audio Card, hope the links I sent you help fella,;)
