TBH all teh cheap ones are pretty much the same so id personally go for a caddy and buy the HD seperate. Will work out cheaper and means you can change the HD in the future/move it to a ext enclosure/etc.
I can recomend these for great value Flexibility and Reliability!

Its a bit more expensive but I went with a ICYBOX and two 1Tb hard drives (so, two 500Gb would be cheaper).
CPC also do a lot of configurable NAS boxes that you add your own hard drives to:
Drives - Flash/Hard/Floppy/CD/DVD | CPC
Bought the ICYBOX from Overclockers, its got the faster HITATCHI Tb drives, but I usually buy Seagate.
I concur with the above posts but a couple of notes:
1. Avoid the Seagate drives - although the issues are "fixed" with firmware updates you risk buying one that hasn't gone through that process.
2. Do not under any circumstances buy a Western Digital "MyBook" - riddled with problems relating to the software. A couple of my schools have bought these in the past, hit similar drive based software issues and I just ended up advising them to return under warranty and get something decent :/
Quite like the Icybox hardware personally, never had any trouble with those.
Here's a pic of my version:
ICYBOX 2X3.5" RAID0,1 GIGABIT LAN + 2 XUSB2.0 SATA HDD KUTU [IB-NAS4220-B] - $189.00 : Dijital Trend : Teknoloji Distribütörü
It runs a variety of server softwares for things like music, downloading torrents (ahem), allows you to share printers via the USB ports (one front one back, but both seem to accept hubs and dont moan), RAID or JBOD, plenty of options and very easy to setup.
