Thinking of building a new machine.
I have a good motherboard at the mo, Gigabyte Sli Quad Royal, but its too loud & sounds like a server with its onboard fan. Its not easily Modded.
I found this, which should provide some future proofing too, but what u guys think??

An eye popping price for a motherboard! I can recommend Asus boards. I'm currently running an Asus P5B
What kind of case are you running, you may be able to solve at lease some of your sound issues with a better quality one that will rattle less due to fan movement. The 'quiet' cases do make a huge difference in comparison to the cheaper more generic variety.
If you don't want SLI I would go for an Intel chipset P35 or X48 would both be ample maybe even the P45 (replaces P35).
