Silly Keyboard Issue
Hi all,
I've recently been experiencing some monkeying around with keyboards by pupils. One keyboard's keys had entirely been repositioned..I was actually quite impressed with their efforts....just wondering if anyone has any strategies to deal with this. Can't think of anything to prevent it other than glueing the keys down..and I've definitely got better things to do than that..

I don't think there's a lot you can do about it. I wouldn't recommend you glue the keys down as kids will probably break the keys altogether.
You could always write messages back to them? :)

ha yeah
instead of Q W E R T Y running along the top I could spell F U ...

One of our lot made the number pad upside down to look like a phone pad once, it was inspired. Got everybody!

Combine two keyboards and spell "stop moving my keys" ?
-
why not go the whole hog and educate them at the same time...the opening lines from some Dostoevsky...
-
remove the keyboard keys all together, and tell them that if they can move the keys around and still manage to do their work then they don't really need the keys at all, right?
Watch the GCSE kids panic at that one! ;)
On a serious note, I would make it known to the SMT / Team leaders / Heads of year etc. that during ICT lesson the pupils are clearly not being observed very well as many have been able to do this re-arranging of the keyboards without being noticed, and so subsequently who knows what else they are doing to/with the PCs beside this?

Why not buy in some of these?

I love causing havoc in the staff room with those once in a while when we're bored :D
