Oki ES4140s are our basic mono printer here, work like tanks. Just wish the toner wasn't loose in the drum, makes 'em a bloody mess to change.
We use Brother 52X0 and 5350s with a lot of success as well, for areas where a managed printer isn't cost effective.

Some Kyocera FS C5025DN's
Most of the new ones we're getting in are Lexmarks (mostly T650's & C734 XL's)
Epson Workforce Pro's. 4015 and 4025.
Have replaced most of the laser printers with them, and for sub £125 can be considered a disposable commodity.

same has happened with print management. They can print to a virtual queue, then go to any device and retrieve their work. They no longer have to PLAN printing, they print print print and collect it as and when they like.
We are reigning it in slowley with tighter quotas and making it more difficult to get extra credit ( only SLT can aprove for students and staff).

Ditched all of our HP kit now apart from some ancient 4000 mono's.
I'm trying to move away from HPs as a whole, but we still get the occasional cheap one in. However, my preferred brand at the moment is Kyocera - good bang for buck with decent warranties.

Moving towards the brothers mentioned earlier though.
Hi - maybe we're unusual but we have 3 main canon photocopiers (ir5045 and ir2380), 3 hp cp3505 for art,dt and ict and about 25 canon inkjets (most teachers have their own in their classrooms).
When we worked out colour printing costs it worked out checper to use the inkjets with compatible cartridges (and allowing for 2-3 to fail each year) than use colour laser printers. We're a junior/middle school (age 3-13) and lots of the teachers print out bright colourful displays.

The vast majority of our printing is now done on 10x Canon iR C1028 MFPs on a lease as of last Christmas. They are very good.
They replaced a mix of HP LaserJet 3600 (no end of driver problems), some Kyocera FS-C5100DN (deathly slow photo printing, same problem as @Little-Miss), and a Xerox 6125 which was costing us a fortune in toner and ate imaging units like they were hobnobs.
We have:
A few HP CP1525nw on WiFi
Another HP on WiFi [the model escapes me]
A few old HP 1320 printers knocking about as local installs.
A few Epson [c-c-c-c-combo breaker] DX7400s as local installs.
An Epson BF[something] as a local printer.
When the local ones break, they're gone.
Almost all printers here are HP. Using some ancient and some new. 2015n's 4050n's. Currently trying to phase some out with HP M401dns.
Personally I dont like HP's, we go with them for historical reasons. I prefer Brother's myself.
Most hated printer is Samsung ML2850. They have no right being in an education or business setting. Very cheaply made, constant problems.
