Can anyone recommend a good company to replace a broken screen on a laptop? Ideally one which won't charge me a fortune in diagnostics, in case it doesn't turn out to be worth doing on a laptop which is already ageing a little.

Not something you'd think about doing yourself? It's easy when you take it slowly (unless it's on an Apple Failbook) and the screens rarely cost more than £50 (amazon, ebay) unless its a whopper or silly high resolution.
do @Millgate do it? Not sure.....cant remember to be honest. Not something we have done in a long time
It's very easy to do, and the screens are available from Laptop Screens | Laptop Screen | Laptop LCD Screens | Replacement Laptop Screens | Broken Laptop Screen - Home cheep!
make sure the battery is out and the system discharged.
takes us about 10 minutes tops on most of our laptops but we do get a lot of them through the door..

Thanks. Found a company who will do it for £60 on site. Job done!
