We have some demo units that we want to try out on our RM system but cannot get the correct lan driver imported into RMMC. I have imported many of other drivers in the past but it's this one card we are having problems with. Anyone else have a device with this card working on RM network?
We've got a block of them here (approx 20). The only issue I can remember having when building them was that I ended up getting the latest driver from the Intel website as the ones they came supplied with just didn't want to work for either the PXE stage nor the OS stage.
Interesting, I have had the latest driver from Intel, imported it and it still wont work. Ended up running Smart Client on it yesterday but it took 8 hours to complete!
Does it just not pick up the driver during the PXE boot?
Nope, fails every time. Comes up with offline build details (which we dont use)
What OS options did you pick when importing the driver into the RMMC? Did you go for XP, 7 and Vista PE or did you split them up into different imports?
I did all of them at first as Intel said it was the same driver for Vista and W7
Are you using PXE boot or CDs for your build?
PXE normally, but have tried CD with this one (yes, I have added drive, re-created image etc etc)
Heh, I was going to get to those questions but (rightly) assumed you'd already done that.
I would check what version of the driver I've got here is but I'm halfway through UPD110 so can't really do anything.
When you get a min, that would be handy to know.
It's odd, this is the only card I have had issues with, never had a problem before adding drives to the build disk.
Now, Smart Cache is crashing!
Right, just checked and the version I've got listed in the RMMC is 11.13.51.0
Don't know if that number will help with anything though.

Actually on closer inspection it looks as if the build disk here hasn't been regenerated for some time as the version included for the PXE boot is even lower than the one I mentioned. Makes we wonder if when the first batch of these machines were built (I wasn't onsite at the time) we needed a slightly different driver to get the build to start and then another for the OS stage.
I'll see if I can grab the driver we have for the build and put it somewhere for you to get, worth a shot perhaps?
If you can I would be very grateful as that will save me a huge amount of time when we order 20 of these
