ive had fizzbooks they make and wouldnt touch them with a bargepole one school had to wait months for a new screen under waranty as they diddnt have any. Drivers are a pita to find

That's bloody cheap with the 5 year warranty on it.
Got one random one here for the site manager - he needed an upgrade for the CCTV software at short notice - and never had any problems with it, but without any kind of quantity of them it's hard to judge. They do always seem to come up cheap on eBuyer etc. though... make of that what you will. UK based, apparently.
I've got 38 Zoostorm PCs, and had 2 problems in 2 years with them. One dead MB and one a dead NIC.
They are based on Merseyside somewhere, warranty support is hit and miss, they treat you like a home customer, so you have to jump through more hoops then I believe is necessary, I believe it is done through a 3rd party. Overall I would recommend them to be honest, much cheaper then other suppliers but be aware, the cases are usually HUGE.

I disagree, I have many happy customers who have had Zoostorm PC's. Don't get me wrong I also have many happy customers who have had the Broadleaf Very PC's also.
From time to time there will be problems with most equipment, but it is how thy are solved. @Millgate we have all heard of issues, but have you yourself or any of your own customers experienced this - probably not in which case you how can you comment "you would go for something else"![]()
@sted it sounds like you had a one off bad experience which I think if we are honest we have all had at some point with a company we deal with.
If you search this forum hard enough you will more than likely find one bad and one good review for every vendor..........
Chris

Yes i have, which is why i said it. The best thing about dealing with lots of different schools and businesses is that you hear the good, the bad and the ugly about all the brands under the sun. I've heard bad things about the Zoostorm support and i've dealt with them myself so i think my post is a valid opinion. I can supply Zoostorms too so i'm not being biased, just honest.
Each to their own!![]()

Are we allowed to sit around and chant FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! as Luke & Chris battle it out for the hearts, minds and invoices of Edugeek?![]()
Haha, just a difference of opinion i think. Anyway, sorry to @TechSupp for going off topic

Ha ha not at all.....I just wanted to raise the point that if you look through the forum you will find good and bad reviews.......Personally I have had no bad dealings with Zoostorm or their warranty and neither have any of my customers including the edugeekers.
In a world where budgets are getting tighter by the year and IT departments are trying to stretch them as far as they can, Zoostorm are no bad thing for education.
Hope it helps @TechSupp
Chris
All valid comments really so thanks to all, two sides etc and all that, in the end you make your choice, pay your money and see what happens. Did that with some toshiba projectors...wont do it again! Now inow better.
I went for job with them they have merged with VIP in warrington.
They buy the cheapest parts at the time so would not trust the brand too much but if your after cheap computers then they serve there purpose

Like most other PC build companies in the market - it gets the costs right down and is why they can charge so little.
There are a few who use more expensive components and this is reflected in their pricing. To me it is pretty easy - if you go for a larger vendor then there is possibly no real need to take a basic warranty as the components should be the latest and if you have concerns with builds, take a warranty with them. Most build companies offer a 5 year warranty for this reason and a 5 year warranty on any PC cannot be a bad thing as most seem to last for at least 3 years without problems in my experience.
