    Recommend a cheap XGA projector

We need 10 XGA projectors and are looking at a budget of around £400-£600 each.

We'll be arranging installation using caretakers and electrical contractors, and sourcing the parts ourselves.

    Anyone recommend any?

I generally use IDN Supplies for projectors/ whiteboards. I use a guy called Ash on 01204 363530. Been using them for about 18 months now with total success.

1700 lumens is the max for education. To be honest it depends on how u want to use them. If they are fixed location, then I highly recommend the orange NEC, as recomended for all new purchaces by the authority to deter theft. They are about £500 and are extremely good quality and well clear.

For mobile use, the optoma EP706 DLP at under £400 from misco are great. They are 1800 lumens, but can be put in Eco mode to go bellow 1700 but they are very bright and good for bright room.

    Regards

    Darren

I've stopped selling the maximum brightness thing. New projectors usually have an eco mode which is nice and quiet as well. Hi res is essential I think - in comparison the old 800x600 projectors are horrible to use.

I been looking at these for some of my summer projects. I personlly recommend the Sanyo PLC-XW11. this comes with a free bulb offer at the moment and 3 year warranty for 399 or theres a Benq MP***c (i cant remember the full model) buts its XGA for about the same price and this again comes with 3 year warranty and a 3 year warranty on the bulb. The lumens on both are 2000 lumens.
