Thought I'd ask this as I got caught short by this this morning and it's landed me in unpopular world.

I've installed a Rocket Raid 2210 PCI-X card along with 4 Sata drives in a RAID 5 array in a server that has a smaller SCSI RAID array..

For some reason when I first started out (with the new raid left without setting up) it request the boot location and then continued on... but as soon as it had installed the driver in Win2k3 and rebooted I started the initialisation and it just sat at the point where it would normally request a boot location... Didn't appear to be initialising at all (no LED activity).

So, I was wondering if there was something to watch out for here..

Server is now up but concerned that the next reboot will see problem return.

Anyone?
