Holiday proximity card sign in system?

Currently all staff have proximity cards and we have a paxton door system which is slowly rolling out on all entrance doors in the school as of last year.

In the holidays when each member of staff comes in they sign in and sign out on a piece of paper, we're after an electronic device to suit this requirement. Whichever site guy is in at the time needs to be able to check who is in and who is out, ideally we would have a wireless card reader sat where the sign in book would normally be with a screen near it but can anyone recommend any solutions to this? Do paxton offer any solutions that might fit the need?

    Cheers

Does the current system only open and lock the doors, or does it record who and when etc?

It records who entered the building and at what time, but the current points don't record who went out as it's just a button press to leave.

That said if i had a wireless paxton one it could be set for in and out but then i guess i'd need two so that it could distinguish between in and out?

You'd only need one reader say in reception.

Go pas t once to sign in and once again at the end of the day to sign out.

Ok so as a test then, if i setup a receiver that is currently for a door how would i configure it to write the out? At the moment if i repeatedly scan my card it'll just keep saying "(IN)"

Is it as simple as enabling the "Reader 2" tab settings without actually having a second receiver?

Hmmm no in that configuration you'd have to have 2 readers as you correctly sumised earlier i.e a read in and a read out one.

    Have you spoken to paxton?
