Network printer toner alerts

We have many HP printers on the network and have HP Web JetAdmin to provide email alerts when toner is low.

Is there any other solution apart from HP Web JetAdmin? Something lighter perhaps? How do you manage toner alerts?

PaperCut NG lets us know when printers are below 5% available toner [adjustable by admin]

It also alerts us to printer offline, paper out issues, paper jams, etc.

Any snmp tool can check the toners levels in complient printers.

We use that functionality as provided in our helpdesk solution, op smartdesk.
