Thermalright's are good too, but you may need to take the mobo out to fit a bracket behind it. Large heatsinks = a lot more weight.

Anyway, back to the main point. all I wanted to know is that if you know of another decent affordable cooler suitable for a socket 1366 motherboard that comes with (or requires us to order seperately) a mounting bracket. Please let me know. The operative word here is affordable.
    NO STOCK COOLERS PLEASE!

Can you give a budget for this in that case? If I know your budget I can get the best possible cooler for the best possible price

For the price, Thermalright's HR-02 Macho (£43.66) is hard to beat. It is supplied with a very quiet 140mm fan and includes a socket 1366 bracket too.

Well, I took the plunge and purchased a brand spanking new.........Intel stock cooler.
It is quiet, keeps the processor cool and cost a bank breaking £4.76. It just goes to show, you can faff around too much I suppose.

I know I'm too late but Hyper Coolmaster Plus coolers are excellent, silent and cost around £20. My PC was overheating @80-90 degrees but with this installed the temps went back down to a steady 25~ degrees idling and 40~ at heavy load. Well worth buying IMO, only downside is the size of the heatsink - it's huge!
