So, I've got a HP 7800 USFF desktop PC here that has a VGA and a DVI output. However, the DVI port is not a standard one. It is missing the 4 holes around the large flat pin and the large flat pin is less wide than a normal one.
What should I be asking for when asking for a DVI-VGA cable or adapter for this?

17th October 2011, 01:29 PM #2 According to the HP website, the 7800 USFF has a DVI-D port which means it's digital only. Without the 4 additional pins for the analogue signal you are not going to be able to use a DVI to VGA cable.
