    Yes, that'll fit fine. Remember the default is only 10% of the drive and you can control the disk usage of shadow copy anyway.

    Hi Geof

    Are you saying if i flash the buffalo terrastation with firmware version 1.04 it will integrate into active directory.

    I must admit i tried flashing the units with current release wich didnt work and furthermore the flash utility was in japanese??

    Well it works here, and yes, the flash utility is actually in Korean.

    Dredging up an old thread.

    I've been looking at a Linksys One NSS6000 - filling it with 4x 250Gb and RAID 5ing it.

    This would be solely for file and SQL backups and would be kept in a rack separate from the servers.

    Has anybody had experience with these Linksys products? I'd preferable like a rack-mount solution if somebody suggests a different solution. My budgets about £1k for the whole thing (including BackupAssist licences).

    Hi there

    Only know the LinkStation gear. We use ours for much the same thing as you are thinking of. Works well.
