Hi
I have just been informed that on friday afternoon a pupil threw a ruler in a class and it has peirced the front 'film' on the smart board! It all works ok apparantly just looks awfull and i was wondering if you can replace the front film bit or if it is a whole new smart board!!!

After a child threw an orange at our board with similar results, I asked them and they said No.
Make the child pay for a new board!!!

Never had one damaged in my high school but the one time it's happened at the primary we had to get a new board. They more or less said it'd cost more to send them the board, fix it and send it back than it would for a new board.
As with WITCH we got the kids parents to pay.

We have a similar situation here in which a pupil went on a rampage with some scissors. It only put a tiny hole in it so the school wasn't too bothered but if it had been enough to make it stand out then we would have had the child pay for it.
