She is 2 and was in hospital at the time, she decided to put her water on the bed tray thing (where my laptop was resting so she could watch dvds) and I knocked it over with her drip wire thingy when packing it away...so mainly my fault for not looking...

Check you house insurance. A few years ago my mother spilt coke on my laptop when at a friends house, we claimed of our home insurance also we didn't have a reciept.

laptop is fixed!!! Ended up shorting the RAM, replaced it once it was dry and job is a good-un. Also had to replace touch-pad but thankfully there is a place near mine that will give you a discount if you give them the old broken stuff, so 2GB Ram + touchpad = £10.
