Decent colour laser printer?
Hello, im after a decent colour laser printer for one of our it rooms, i recently got a brother 2700N, it isnt very good atall, and cartridges are costly.
The konica minolta we had has just packed up, but it was 5 years old, and has done very well by the looks of it...
so any that are economical to run, fast, and reasonably priced, max of £600?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Decent colour laser printer?
HP 3800n is a great work horse. Pricey to fill, but lasts ages.

If you shop around you can get them cheaper than Ebuyer are currently quoting. I got ours for £455 delivered from Ebuyer last year when there was an offer on.
Edit: hang on that printer has a £200 cashback offer, but not sure how its claimed...

Also try contacting ICT Direct, one of EduGeeks advertisers. They often have good quality second user colour lasers at really cheap prices.

Our Kyocera 5020 has been very reliable, and produces good prints.

Hp 4700n from XMA I have been quoted a price of £750 but if you want all and sundrie to print quality work off with no hassle then this is the baby.
Approx £450 to fill but lasts ages with little maintenance except 100,000 drum kit which is inexpensive and you can fit yourself.
I have 5 HP ranging from 4600n - 4700n and they work
Obviously if you want less expense then HP 3800n is still a bargain.
I have a few kyocera mita fs5016n but they have started to play up even with the latest firmware so i am in the process of swapping these out.
My advice is go HP.

I wonder if that is an old code that could cause ebuyer some trouble if someone picks up on it!
HP always seem to be doing some cashback offer on some product or another. That printer was featured with the £200 cashback in an offer I participated in a while back (I didn't buy that printer, but it was on the claim form) but it expired July last year! If it is in a current promotion, Insight have it listed at over £100 cheaper

We've got quite a few 2600n's and a few older 4650n's (all HP) - they are all alright
But the oldest 2 in the school are Minoltas, they just seem to go on forever. There are annoying things to replace, like the waste toner bottle and fuse oil roller I think but overall they are decent
