HP MSA 1000/ 2000 SAN

HP seems very vague about this and searching on google seems very vague. We are having something done with the electrics and I need to shutdown the SAN for the first time. I gather you switch the VMs off first then the SAN then bring SAN back up first then the VMs but I m not sure how to shut it down safety! without just pulling the power out so anyone any ideas or done this before?

If its a SAN I would guess there is something in the web management console?

Found instructions for msa 1000 (thought they d be same for 2000 but thanks anyway)

Instructions for msa 1000 is generally backup, prey, backup, backup, prey!

Been setting up a P2000 G3 and it just turns on when the power is connected, you can shut down the 'controller(s)' via the web management before turning off the power.
