Anyone want to spec up an exchange 2007 server for me?
Just been reading this technet article and I am a little confused on processor and ram requirements.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...2hardware.mspx
It needs to support around 900 mailboxes and be pretty future proof.

Re: Exchange 2007 hardware server spec
The spec of ours (just purchased) is as follows:
HP DL380 G5 Intel Xeon 3.4Ghz Processor
4Gb DDR2 SDRAM (8 x 512MB 400 MHz DIMMS)
Perc RAID Controller
3 x 146Gb Hard Disks (RAID 5)
We will be supporting around 2000 mailboxes.
£2350 (licensing not included in price)

HP have just announced that they will be offering a new service where they will recommend a specific model and spec of server for Exchange given your requirements (mail throughput, number of users, etc.). Might be worth looking in to?

Were probably going to do this this sumer. We have Excahnge 2003 but the server it is on is well out of warranty so we need to get a new one. I will be looking at Exchange 2007 as i can't see the point in having a new 64bit server and putting 2003 back on it.
I suppose on how much its gonna cost though for licence and cals though before i 100% decide.
