    power edge 830 RAM

    I have a power edge 830 and was just curious would it be better to get 1gig of pc4200 ddr2 ram for it or 1 gig of pc5300 ddr 2 ram for it and why should I get one over the other ?

    Is this replacing or supplementing the ram that's currently installed. If your replacing it then get the fastest ram you can. If it's adding to it then get ram that's the same speed as the currently installed ram.

    so the pc 5300 will be fine then ( It will be replacing it as I only have 256mb atm ) I think its pc 4200
