I was recently given a Vaio FGN-FZ11Z laptop from a friend to use as a spare. When i received the laptop windows was corrupted for some reason and would not load. I tried to run the built in hard drive recovery disk program and whilst the first part of the process works fine once the computer reboots and starts to install the setup files the screen becomes distored and then the computer reboots which continues until the laptop is turned off.
To try and get round this I tried installing a copy of windows 7 which installs fine without any problems. The only problem is that some of the drivers particularly the built in webcam do not seem to work I have tried installing the drivers that are on the sony support site but they do not seem to work. Their also seems to be a problem when trying to install the graphics drivers.
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
