    QNAP TS-859 Pro+

I received my QNAP Turbo NAS TS-859 Pro+ recently, and have now got it set up with 8x WDC WD2002FAEX-007BA05.0 2TB HDDs (Caviar Black model).

I've run some benchmarks using HD Tune Pro, and the results are as below.

Could someone tell me if they're good/bad etc...? As I have nothing to compare them to!

Not sure to be honest, I have one of the same (though with green disks), and only thing I can suggest is not sticking encryption on the disks, kcryptd doesn't seem to run multicored/threaded so it causes a significant bottleneck and sustained transfer rates of ~10MBs. Is Data Encryption Worth Destroying Your NAS' Performance? : Atom D510 And Encryption is quite an interesting read on the subject.

How does it compare to the specs given for the drives?
