Ive made a bit of a boo boo,
Attempting to repair a windows system, I accendently started formatting the hDD, it got 20% before I stopped it.
Does anyone know how I can recover the users data from the drive?

I had some luck with file recovery from an NTFS drive yesterday using ntfsundelete under Debian. The file system I was recovering from was intact which is probably why it worked so well. I suspect it would have been different if the inodes had been deleted, but it can't harm to try.

You can try this tool from Piriform. I've managed to recover some files from partially formatted drive with it before
Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download
