RCK-T07 Wireless Tablets - Stylus Problem

We have a large number of these on-site and they are out of warranty now :-(

The stylus seem to develop a problem where they die after about a couple of years. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Had a look at the gubbins inside and can't see anything that looks like it's fried itself. It's definitely the stylus - the tablets continue to work okay with another stylus.

If the styluses don't take batteries then they rely of electromagnet inductance so I would say that the coils inside or the electrical continuity of the pressure sersor are possibly damaged.
