We have a problem with a 5270dn printer that constantly shows up as offline and will not print from the network. I can ping the machine, access the printer through http and it says all is well. I cant see the printer in Brother admin console. I have tried different network point and also cable and no good. i can manually print a test config page. But no matter what i do the printer stays offline on the print server? I would flash the firmware but this can only be done in the admin console but i cant access the printer in this as it does not show up.
Tried toner and drum change as well.
Any ideas?

Sounds like damage to the board see if there is a way to do a hardware reset? is it still in warranty? the network card in it may be damaged so that a connection to the printer itself is not possible can you use it directly via parallel or usb? if so then its the nic if it isn't in warranty a cheap print server box may be the answer.
