    Can I install an EIDEhard drive into a DELL 505?

    Hello,

    Just a quick one. The hard drive in one of our DELL Latitude 505's has failed. Can I just put any EIDE into it to replace it?

    Taken from Dell support forums

    You'll need a 2.5", 9.5 mm EIDE (ATA100 or below -- NOT SATA or ATA-150) 120G or smaller drive.
