HP Officjet 7000 - Admin Password Lost
Got an OfficeJet 7000 that I'd like to change the IP settings on, but I've no idea what the admin password is. Does anyone know how reset it?

I thought this might be a simple task but, oh how wrong I was.... The amount of search scraped spam site sh*te out there using the keywords for this problem, was just awe inspiringly bad..
Wrong printer but it may still work...
What I have found is this:
to reset the Hp PSC 1210 you must do as below.
.Disconnect printer from PC
.Remove power plug from wall socket
.Replace power plug in wall socket
.As soon as printer lights start flashing, hold down the 'On\Resume' button and the Orange 'Cancel' button at the same time for a few seconds.
This will clear any stored data, and reset the printer to it's factory default settings.
Beyond that it's a case of calling HP support... I couldn't find anything in 30 minutes of searching..
Thanks to contink from:

No luck there either - unless I want to fork out £15! Complained to webmaster as it's information that should be available in the manual. Not expecting it to make any difference though :-(

- Rep Power
Don't know if anyone is still interested, but this is truly a case of RTFM.
Download the User Manual (OfficeJet 7000 User Manual.pdf) - therein it describes in graphic detail how to reset to default settings ...
Press and hold power button, press Ethernet button twice, press Cancel three times, release Power button.
Works a treat.
