Need Some Help With WD SES
Hello everyone,
I Have Win 7 Ultimate N in my PC. Yesterday I bought a an External hard WD SES 250 GB. When I plug onto computer then an error occurred and my disk cannot work properly. I update drivers then an yellow icon occurred on my drive in PC. Now what can I do?
Can anybody help me out?
Thanks in advance.

29th December 2010, 10:01 AM #2 I've found those drives particularly touch and go with any PC - but for some reason more so with those using 7 or Vista. No idea if there was an easy fix, as I found it better to find another drive. Have you tried using a double ended USB cable?

29th December 2010, 12:21 PM #3 Try cleaning out the PNP entries from the registry,
HKEY_Local_Machine\System\Mounted_Devices
You can delete all entries except the current system drive \Dos_Device\C:
Then restart the PC wait for all drives and memory card slots to be detected restarting again if prompted.
Plug in the external disk last...
Hope for the best....
